AntWar.io is a real-time strategy game where you play as an ant colony attempting to survive and expand in a cruel insect world. You collect resources to construct buildings, scientists, soldiers, and much more in order to defend against players and enemy ants. As you flesh out your army, you battle against other players, conquer their territory and loot their resources. Construct buildings, battle other colonies, expand your forays, and survive!

Setup

When you start playing, you will find your colony in a grassland biome with four maps as your entrances. At the start of your game, you will have a few basic tools and buildings to help you with your exploration. The game begins when you select one of the four maps that exists on the screen and then click to explore it. When you explore a map, you will be able to see different biomes.

Exploration

As you explore the maps, you will come across various resources such as food, wood, stone, and gold. Your gathering ants will automatically collect these resources for you. You can also come across enemy colonies, neutral creatures, and various obstacles such as rocks and walls. Your explorer ants will be able to pass through these obstacles and let your other ants go deeper into the map. As you explore further into the map, you will come across a range of new biomes with unique properties.

Conquering

Once you have explored the maps thoroughly, you will come across enemy colonies. You can choose to attack these colonies with your worker ants to collect their resources. You can also choose to use your soldier ants to directly attack the enemy's army. As you conquer an enemy colony, you will be able to claim its resources as your own and build your own buildings on their territory.

Gameplay

Once you have full control over the map, your ultimate goal is to survive and grow. You can use the resources you collect to construct buildings, research technology, make more ant types, and create your defense. You will also be able to interact with other players and fight them with your army. As you expand your territory, more and more enemies will appear, giving you an ever-increasing challenge.
