Paper.io 2 is a colorful multiplayer game in which you take on the role of a paper character rolling around the map, trying to capture as much territory as possible. The objective of the game is to survive as long as you can, capture as much territory as possible, and ultimately come out on top of the leaderboards. As you progress in the game, you'll find new enemies, power-ups and obstacles to deal with, added to the mix of classic and familiar game elements.
When you first enter the game, you'll be prompted to create your own paper character and customize it with a range of color choices, then enter your username or nickname. You can also switch to one of the game's pre-made characters, if you prefer. When you're happy with your character, you'll be ready to rumble.
Paper.io 2 offers two game modes - Classic and Rush. Classic mode is the true game experience, with classic modes like Capture the Flag and King of the Hill, while Rush mode is a fast-paced race across the map. The Rush mode adds excitement to the game and allows players to put their reflexes to test - with different power-ups and rewards depending on the speed of your play.
Once you're in the game you'll be tasked with conquering the map by claiming as much territory as you can. As you move around your character can dash left and right, and even quick-stop if necessary, so you need to be ready to dodge enemy fire. As you play you can collect coins, power-ups and rewards that will help you increase your territory and take on the competition.
Securing your territory is essential. As you capture more of the map, you'll need to make sure to defend it against other players. You can build walls and barricades, and use your character's special attacks, if available, to keep the enemy out. You'll also need to race to the flag in the center of the map, as this will give you an edge in the competition.
The ultimate goal of Paper.io 2 is to be the last one standing and emerge victorious. To win you'll need to fight and secure more territory than your opponents, use the power-ups to your advantage and survive against the odds. The player with the most area captured in the end will come out on top of the competition.
Paper.io 2 requires you to carefully navigate the map and capture as much territory as possible. You can take control of your character with WASD or arrow keys, and use Q or Shift to quick-stop. You will also need to be aware of your surroundings, as enemy fire and obstacles may be lurking around the corner. You can switch to other players in the game, by pressing the Tab key.
As you move around the map, you will encounter various power-ups, coins and rewards. These can give you special abilities, like increased speed, bombing enemies and building walls, to increase your chances of survival. Collecting coins and rewards also adds to your score, giving you an edge on the leaderboards.
To win the game you will have to capture as much territory as possible and be the first to reach the flag in the center. You'll also need to build walls and use your special attacks if available, to keep your opponents at bay. The player with the most area captured in the end will be the triumphant champion.
The game is developed by the independent game developer Voodoo, who specialize in creating hyper-casual mobile games.
